As a photo-journalist, he has completed assignments in over 100 countries, on 6 continents. He has: 1) traced the footsteps of Genghis Khan from Mongolia through Central Asia; 2) followed the integration of culture across the Sahara Desert into West Africa; and 3) traveled along the untrammeled portions of the ancient Silk Road.
The chronicle of his photographic efforts have been seen in virtually every domestic and international publication that deals with the world of adventure and exotic travel. Currently, his work has appeared on the cover of the National Geographic book, entitled, Unlocking the Secrets of the Unknown; the cover of the National Geographic Picture Atlas of the World; in both Fuji Film and Kodak Film promotions; and National Geographic television advertisements. Also, he was recently named a winner in the distinguished Canon/Sports Illustrated sports photography competition; the juried 'World in Focus' Seattle exhibition and the juried 'Image 03' exhibition, in New York City.
Additionally, Brian operated the original photographic travel company, Thru the Lens Tours, during the 1980's. Over the past 26 years, he has conducted more than 70 photo tours/workshops, to over 80 countries, on 6 continents. He has an excellent feel for the destination, as well as the requirements of travelers. Presently, he conducts one or two exclusive tours per calendar year.
Finally, Brian has been a guest lecturer at the prestigious YPO (Young Presidents' Organization) Universities (India and Hong Kong), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Plexus (international organization studying complexity) and many other professional business groups, globally. His photographs are part of numerous corporate and private collections around the world.
